Terms of Use

Important limitations and safe-use expectations for CSV diagnostics and repair tools.

Last updated: September 9, 2026.

Keep your original file

Keep an untouched backup of every CSV before applying, downloading, or importing a repaired version.

Diagnostic limitations

CSVFixLab can identify structural and selected platform-related issues, but it cannot guarantee that a destination system will accept a file or that every business rule has been validated.

No invented business data

The service is designed not to infer missing prices, identifiers, product relationships, titles, dates, or other values when the intended data cannot be established from the file structure.

Safe repair is intentionally limited

Automatic repair may be blocked when the file contains ambiguous structure, unknown source encoding, inconsistent row widths, malformed quotes, duplicate headers, empty headers, or another condition that would require guessing.

Test before production use

Review the report and test repaired files in a safe workflow before performing bulk or production imports. You remain responsible for validating the output against the requirements of the system receiving the CSV.

Availability and changes

CSVFixLab may change, add, remove, or refine checks as file formats, platform requirements, and the service evolve. Platform-specific checks are informational and do not create an affiliation with the named platform.
